Ternipe Ensemble

Ternipe Együttes is a band playing authentic Gypsy world music, blending traditional Roma musical elements with a modern sound. Their repertoire also includes their own compositions, and their performances are marked by an energetic, dynamic stage presence. The line-up features vocals, violin, guitar, tambura and keyboards, along with such distinctive instruments as the mouth bass, the milk can, the spoon and the darbuka.

The ensemble's aim is to present the richness of Roma folklore on an international level as well, and to represent Hungary fittingly at the most important folk and world music events. Their music draws on its roots yet speaks to today: with irresistible drive it gets everyone dancing.
