Jean-Patrick MERLINO

Jean-Patrick MERLINO – Pianist, keyboard player & live line-ups

Professional pianist and keyboard player based in Menton, with over 25 years' experience in live music, events, hotels, restaurants, weddings, private and corporate parties, as well as international cruises, notably with P&O Cruises / the Carnival group.

I offer a range of musical formats, from solo piano to full band and themed show, so that the performance can be tailored to the venue, the audience and the type of event.

As a solo pianist, I perform a repertoire of lounge, jazz, bossa nova, standards, pop and French and international popular music, particularly well suited to hotels, restaurants, cocktail receptions, rooftops, weddings and private or corporate events.

I also perform as a piano-and-voice duo with Fiona Rose / Fiona Garino, in a world of jazz, soul, pop-jazz, lounge and international popular music, with a light and elegant format that works especially well for hotels, rooftops, cocktail receptions, weddings and upmarket events.

With Krystin's Groove Band, I play a funk, soul, disco and groove repertoire featuring the likes of Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind & Fire, Kool & The Gang, Chic, Prince, James Brown, Luther Vandross, The Commodores, Bill Withers and Santana. This format is particularly suited to dance parties, weddings, festivals and corporate events.

I am also part of the Orchestre Baie des Anges, a dance-and-variety band offering a broad French and international repertoire of pop, disco, funk and great festive standards, designed for dance evenings and larger-scale events.

With Hit Story 80, I play in a live line-up dedicated to the great hits of the 1980s, designed for concerts, themed evenings, public, private and corporate events.

I also run Santa Songs, a line-up devoted to the world of Christmas. The basic format brings together vocals, piano/keyboards and bass, with a French and international Christmas repertoire, complemented by well-known family and Disney titles. The project is particularly suited to Christmas markets and Christmas villages, light switch-ons, Christmas parties, hotels, companies and shopping centres, with the option of expanding the line-up as required.

I also take part in the Tribute Riccardo Cocciante, a 100% live show built around the artist's great French and Italian songs. Several configurations are possible: duo with vocals + piano/keyboards, trio with violin, or a full line-up of six artists. The project is available in France and internationally.

Finally, the Tribute Sade explores a world of soul, jazz-pop and groove, with an approach particularly suited to concerts, clubs, hotels and events looking for an elegant and sophisticated musical aesthetic.

In addition, I have developed my own concept, DJ Hybrid Piano, combining live piano/keyboards with programmed music, with the aim of moving a performance from a lounge mood towards a more rhythmic, festive atmosphere.
